LucidPro is the most straightforward way into a Lucid funded account. The evaluation has no consistency rule and no minimum trading days, so a good day can pass it outright. What Lucid asks for in return comes later, on the funded side, in the form of a 40% consistency check on every payout cycle.
Quick Verdict
The Evaluation: Genuinely Easy
There is also no time limit on the evaluation. You can take as long as you need.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pass the LucidPro evaluation in one day?
Yes. There is no minimum trading day count and no time limit on the LucidPro evaluation. If you hit the profit target without breaching your drawdown, you can clear it in a single session.
What is the 40% consistency rule?
On a funded LucidPro account, your largest single profit day cannot exceed 40% of your total profit for that payout cycle. Lucid calculates it as largest single day profit divided by account profit. The rule resets after each approved payout. Accounts purchased or reset before November 28, 2025 use 35% instead.
What happens if I breach the consistency rule?
Nothing happens to the account — it only affects payout eligibility. You keep trading, and as your cycle profit grows, your largest day becomes a smaller share of the total until the ratio falls back under 40%. It delays a withdrawal rather than costing you anything.
Does LucidPro have a daily loss limit?
Only if you choose one. The daily loss limit is an on/off option at checkout and can’t be changed afterwards; the DLL-on version is cheaper. If on, it’s fixed at $600 / $1,200 / $1,800 / $2,700 by size until your funded account closes above the initial trail balance, then becomes 60% of your best end-of-day profit. Hitting it is a soft breach: you’re locked out until the next session but keep the account.
Do I still get 100% on my first $10,000?
Only on legacy accounts. That benefit applies to accounts purchased or reset before 11/28/2025 at 3:00 PM EST. Accounts bought after that date run the standard 90/10 split from the first dollar. Note that resetting an older account moves it onto current terms.
Is there an activation fee to go funded?
No. Lucid’s help center states there is no activation fee to upgrade a LucidPro evaluation to a LucidPro funded account.
What is the buffer balance?
Before you can request a payout, your account balance must sit above your starting balance by your initial max loss limit plus $100. That buffer stays in the account as a cushion against the drawdown — only profit above it is withdrawable.
How many payouts can I take before LucidPro moves me live?
There’s no fixed number. Lucid’s help center lists “no simulated payout caps” for LucidPro, and the move to live is at the risk team’s discretion. LucidFlex, by contrast, moves to live review after five payouts. Once live, you can earn the repeatable live bonus by reaching the profit threshold for your size and 20 trading days in live.
Can I trade the news on LucidPro?
Yes. News trading is allowed on LucidPro with no blackout windows, including NFP, FOMC and CPI. The exception in Lucid’s lineup is funded LucidDaily, where red-folder news is a hard breach.
Is LucidPro better than LucidFlex?
Neither is better — they move the difficulty to different stages. LucidPro gives you an easy evaluation and a 40% consistency check on funded payouts. LucidFlex gives you a stricter 50% evaluation and then no funded consistency rule at all. Choose based on which stage you’d rather have be the hard one.
